Dr. Sorenson grew up in Wausau, Wisconsin and fell in love with the Coulee Region while completing his undergraduate studies in Biochemistry at the University of Wisconsin тАУ La Crosse. He went on to attend dental school at Marquette University, graduating summa cum laude at the top of his class. While at Marquette, Dr. Sorenson was awarded the Dr. William S. Kramer Award of Excellence, the ACD Outstanding Student Leader Award, the AAOMS Dental Student Award for outstanding performance in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Dental Society.
Following dental school, Dr. Sorenson completed a four-year residency in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at The Ohio State University, serving as chief resident during his final year. He received specialized training in dental implants and bone grafting, corrective jaw surgery, management of facial trauma, TMJ disorders, pathology, and the delivery of safe office-based anesthesia. He focuses on providing patients with the best quality compassionate care in a comfortable setting.
Dr. Sorenson is Board-Certified with the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. He holds a license to administer deep sedation and general anesthesia and maintains certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Pediatric Life Support.
Dr. Sorenson and his wife, Kelly, have two daughters. They enjoy the many outdoor recreational activities that this region offers, especially biking, skiing, and time out on the water.
