Not having teeth will lead to a decline in health and confidence. There are multiple ways to replace teeth including: dentures, partials and tooth-supported bridges. These options have various disadvantages which include: slipping, movement, frequent maintenance and costly replacement. Dental implants now allow doing away with the disadvantages of traditional tooth replacement options like dentures and partial dentures. Dental implants are the first-best option used to replace failing teeth or missing teeth. Dental implants are used to replace the missing tooth-root to support your replacement teeth. Teeth that use dental implants don’t move, are more realistic and need less maintenance. There are more then 250 dental implant companies world wide with very little research proving their success. Coulee Region Implant and Oral surgery Center only uses the top four implant brands in the world. These implants have the longest track record and best research proving their success. All of these implants are made from medical-grade titanium or non-metal for people with certain allergies. Make an appointment now with one of our specialists for a free consultation to learn about your options.

Replacing Teeth with Implants

One Tooth

A missing tooth can now be replaced with a dental implant. Our patients routinely say that having dental implant surgery is easier than having a tooth removed. Many of our patients have implant surgery with local anesthesia, but if you wish, we can use IV sedation to make the experience more comfortable and less worrisome. Some patients are candidates for an immediate implant, which is placed at the time of tooth removal. A majority of patients will need grafting prior to implant placement to improve the esthetic outcome. If you think that an implant is in your future, feel free to call and make an appointment for a free consultation.

More than One Tooth

Dental implants are routinely used to replace multiple teeth and in some cases all in one day or by noon. Dental implants are a reliable alternative to an ill fitting partial denture or failing bridge supported by teeth. A common misconception is that you will need an implant for each missing tooth, but this is not true. At Coulee Region Implant and Oral Surgery, we strive to meet your needs with the implants you need and not more. We routinely use just four implants to hold a full arch of teeth, replacing a painful ill-fitting denture or failing teeth. Many people have heard of All-On-4 or teeth-in-a-day. This treatment option is available at dental clinics like Clear Choice. Unfortunately, residents of the Coulee Region have to drive over two or more hours for this treatment. No dental practice in the Coulee Region has done more All-On-4 procedures then we have.

The doctors at Coulee Region Implant and Oral Surgery Center have the appropriate training to offer teeth-in-a-day using just four implants with IV sedation. Many of our patients are finished and home for lunch by noon with their new teeth. We work with many family dentists in the tri-state region. Patients that do not have a dentist should rest assure that we can provide all the treatments you need until we find a dentist to carry on any additional treatment. Call Coulee Region today for a free consultation.

Let our surgical specialists determine if you are a candidate for graft-free option for teeth-in-a-day.

Bone Grafting

Oral surgeons have the most training in the dental field when it comes to bone grafting and augmentation procedures.

Bone augmentation and grafting procedures are used to increase the volume or amount of bone for dental implants and future prosthesis.  Bone augmentation has been used in dental and medical fields for many years and the procedures are predictable and successful.  Please feel free to make an appointment to discuss if you need a bone graft to regain you healthy smile and ability to chew food properly.

Reasons For Dental Bone Graft Augmentation

The most common reason for bone augmentation is loss of jaw bone from long standing missing teeth and periodontal disease.  The bone that holds the tooth is called the Alveolar bone. The Alveolar bone begins to “melt” away after tooth removal or loss.  Twenty five percent of the volume is lost in the first year after removal. For this reason your dentist or your specialist at CRIOS will discuss the benefits of bone augmentation at the time of tooth removal.

When teeth have been missing for some time, grafting may be required prior to implant placement so the appropriate implant size and position can be attained.

Bone augmentation is also used to regain a youthful contour of the jaw bone which provides support to the lips.  Lip support is directly related to a youthful smile and accurate speech.

What to Expect

In most cases bone augmentation will be accomplished the day the tooth is removed with the entire procedure lasting 30-60 minutes with a maximum of 2 hours when same day consultation and treatment is performed with IV sedation.

Your provider will give you oral and written instructions which outline post procedure home care instructions. This will include hygiene methods and strategies to manage any discomfort experienced.
